The property affords considerable privacy and there are no buildings across the road. The outstanding feature of this property are the two large south facing sun terraces. Ideal for sunworshippers and located on 2 separate levels, the uninterrupted views are stunning.

The Spanish Canary Islands are situated off the north west coast of Africa and enjoy a sub tropical climate - summertime all year round. Fuerteventura is the 2nd largest of the islands (after Tenerife) and also is the nearest to Africa - just 60 miles away. The driest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura has a starkly beautiful landscape and boasts the finest sandy beaches to be found in the Canaries. It is also less crowded than the other major Canary Island destinations.

This holiday apartment is ideally located for those seeking a quiet holiday in the Canary Isles. The village of El Cotillo in which the apartment let is located boasts a castle, or rather, a small fort which is close to, and can be seen from, the apartment. There is also a traditional old windmill close to the apartment. There are no nightclubs but there are a few laid back bars and restaurants, some of which are down by the harbours with lovely views and are great spots for watching the sunset.

Just to the north are the beautiful green lagoons which stretch from the village up to the lighthouse at the north west tip of the island. This string of sheltered lagoons have almost white sand and crystal clear water (good for snorkelling and fishing) and the inner lagoons where the beaches lie are ideal for all ages with safe bathing in the calm waters. You will find a couple of ideally situated beach bar/restaurants close to the lagoons. To the south of the village is the surf beach - no calm waters here! A favourite with surfers from all over Europe, it's worth having a look at but not ideal for swimming in the Atlantic swell.

Fuerteventura is three and a half to four hours flight from most U.K airports and in the same time zone as the U.K. The apartment is located about 35 minutes drive from Fuerteventura Airport from where hire cars can be picked up. It is advisable to hire a car during your stay.
